Hatchnix didn’t start as an agency. It started as a single Android blog in 2015. Everything we do for clients today, we first learned by building, growing and selling our own websites.

2015
It started with RootMyGalaxy.net
where it all began ↑
We launched RMG Media Group with one website: RootMyGalaxy.net, covering Android leaks, rumours and how-to guides. It grew fast and soon became one of the biggest sites in its niche.
We ran it for eight years, then sold it. It is still one of our most successful ventures, and it taught us most of what we know about content, SEO and running websites at scale.

2016
The Droid Guru widens the lens
A year later came The Droid Guru. It started with smartphones and grew to cover computers and gaming too, and it became our second long-running publication.

2018
Two new ventures, two more exits
We launched Update Geek alongside a design project. Both did well, and in time we sold both, which proved the first exit wasn’t luck.

2018–22
Building for other people
Over these four years we took on a lot of client work: web development projects, custom WordPress plugins, apps and more. This is where the studio side of the business really began.

A portfolio of websites
With more experience behind us, we launched several new websites at once. A number of them are still growing today.

2024
Sam Updater, and the turn to AI
We launched SamUpdater.com, a dedicated tracker for Samsung firmware releases.
Around the same time we moved into AI and automation. We built automation systems for different kinds of work and gave many people their first hands-on experience of AI doing real tasks for them.

A team, and a burst of launches
With a team now in place, we shipped several products in a single year:

- FramletA screenshot app made only for the Mac.

Alongside these, the studio keeps building for clients across design, development, SEO and AI.

2026RMG Media Group becomes Hatchnix
today!
On 25 September 2026 we renamed RMG Media Group to Hatchnix. The practical reason: the RMG Media Group domain wasn’t available for India. The better reason: after eleven years of hatching ideas into websites, apps and businesses, the new name simply fits.
